The City of Cape Town's 2018 General Valuation Roll (GV2018), which determines the updated property rates and taxes, took effect on 01 July 2019.
Swindon offers a 95% success rate in rates reduction. We will compile and submit the appeal on your behalf and represent you in the appeal court
Was your objection rejected?
You may appeal to the Valuations Appeal Board within a certain prescribed time period of 30 days from date of receipt of notification of the outcome.
Are you dissatisfied with the outcome of your objection submission? Did you know that you have another opportunity to motivate the market value of your property?
The appeal process allows Swindon a second chance to motivate the market value of your property. With this process, the motivation is done in person by one of our professional valuers before an independent Appeal Board.
Appointing Swindon increases your chances of a successful appeal
We will compile and submit the appeal on your behalf and represent you in the appeal court. The ability to respond accurately and immediately in court is where the assistance of skilled and professional representation becomes critically advantageous.
We also assist property owners who wish to object and/or appeal against Supplementary Valuation Rolls. Similarly, these objection/appeal periods are limited, and should you require assistance, you need to act swiftly to ensure adequate time is allowed for the required motivation and investigation of your property.
The City does not allow late objections or appeals, therefore to avoid disappointment please book your place in our register.
Please note that we will only take on appeals where we are confident that we have a case. Get in touch with jill@swindon.co.za for a no-obligation quote, or to discuss your latest valuation.
We look forward to being of assistance to you.
